Cougar Pride

I kind of missed officially announcing this on the blog, but Chance has started a new job at the brand new College Station High School! He will coach Defensive Backs and a yet-to-be-determined spring sport (powerlifting or track) and teach Biology. We are so excited that he now works less than 10 minutes from home! It was hard to say goodbye to Caldwell (hardest for Cade, because he LOVES the Big Hornet and the color orange), but we know this is where Chance is meant to be now. The coaching staff is really enthusiastic and hard working, and so are the students. I am so proud of Chance for accepting a position in CSISD and being able to spend more time with us!

The school officially opened about 2 weeks ago for summer workouts and Chance took us on a tour last weekend. We managed to get lost a few times, so I can only imagine how crazy the first few days of school will be!

Welcome to CSHS!

Of course, our first stop was the field house and weight room. It is so clean and new!

This is actually called "Big Ass Fan". How creative.

Weights and a Cade that does not want to be in the picture

Exploring the locker room (also so clean and new... if only it could stay that way!)

I've never seen so much purple in my life!

Cougar field!

Standing in the cougar's mouth

Eventually, we made it into the school. This is the view looking down into part of the cafeteria. These kids will eat in style!

One of FOUR elevators in the school. Wow.

It has study areas just like the MSC

Chance's classroom! He hasn't taught in a room with lab tables since he was in Hearne, so he is very excited about them!

This picture is significant because this is the first time Chance has actually received supplies in his classroom at the beginning of the year. It is kind of nice to be in a district that has a little money.

Chance looks a little more enthusiastic about being in the classroom than Cade!
