School Daze

No, that is not a typo in the post title. "Daze" is quite appropriate for our lives right now... between football season, other work responsibilities, and each one of us being sick at some point, the past week has been a little foggy! But overall, everything is fine, and we are getting settled into a new/ busier routine.

Last Friday was a family picnic at Cade's school. This was a fun thing to do while Chance had an away game that was too far for us to go to. Cade and I enjoyed a Sonic picnic on our blanket while Annie practiced her newest trick - sitting up all by herself!

I had really hoped to meet some of the families from Cade's class at the picnic. Unfortunately, none of them were there at the same time as us. Cade did play with some bigger kids on the merry-go-round, and of course we spent some time with his good buddy Garrett!

This week, the kindergarten classes have been learning about colors, so each day the students are supposed to wear a certain color. Tuesday was a day for the history books... ORANGE day! Cade was so happy to be dressed head to toe in his favorite color. We did make him leave his orange light saber at home, though.

And here's a glimpse into this mama's world... this is what my front seat looks like on Mondays. That pile is a diaper bag, karate bag, my work bag, my lunch bag, Annie's bottle bag, bag of car snacks, bag of pump parts, Cade's backpack, and Cade's lunch box. Thank goodness we got a bigger car.
