Bliss at Blue Bell

As we are nearing the end of the 3rd week of school for Chance and Cade and the 2nd week for me, I am officially missing summer very much. All of our school activities are fun and great, but the slower pace of summer is much less stressful! So, this is a perfect time to blog about our last summer hurrah - a Blue Bell day with Garrett and his mom, Vandi.

We've gone to the Blue Bell factory almost every summer since Cade turned three, and he enjoys it more every time. The tour had a new addition this year - a quick walk through a freezer that is -22 degrees - the temperature of an ice cream truck. WOW - it was COLD! Cade loved it so much! The ice cream at the end is always a big hit, and I am a new fan of Krazy Kookie Dough! It is good even before 10:00 in the morning!

Our next stop was the Blue Bell Aquatic Center. This is brilliantly positioned right across the street from the Blue Bell factory, and it will now always be part of our trip to Brenham! It has pools of all different depths and enough water falls and squirters to keep the boys entertained for a long time. Vandi and I even had time for a quick selfie!

We ate a lovely lunch at Whataburger on the way home (boys' choice) and then it was time to get back and start our last weekend of summer. It was fantastic to spend the day with friends, and we are so thankful to have the Erskine family here in our neighborhood!
