Spring Break in New Braunfels

Cade and I started our spring break with a trip to New Braunfels last weekend while Chance coached at the boys' regional powerlifting meet. We had a great time!

One of our first stops was Adobe Verde, which we discovered has a full playground and sandbox in the back. This is a genius idea... a "real" restaurant with a playground! I was amazed at how well Cade climbed the playhouse.

The next morning we visited a llama farm owned by a man dad knows, who we found out was also a friend of my Opa's. It is always fun to meet people with stories about him. This man and his wife own over 40 llamas, who are raised for shows and their hair. We met llamas from the matriarch of the herd to a one-day old baby. It was quite an adventure!

This little llama was named Rosemary. She and Cade took quite a liking to each other and she followed us around for awhile.

Next, we visited the New Braunfels airport. It was surprisingly busy! We saw other families taking helicopter rides, and will definitely do that during the summer. Cade was really sleepy by this time, but really enjoyed seeing all of the planes.
