Ode to Natalie

We've been getting together almost every week with Natalie and Kelsey (and for the past 6 months, Henry too) since Cade and Natalie were a few months old. We've watched our kids go from bouncing in bumbos, to crawling, to walking, to now running away from us as fast as they can! Our memories have been priceless, and Kelsey and I are so thankful for our wonderful friendship.

The Johnson family is moving to Houston this weekend for new jobs, so our get-togethers will now be a little less frequent. I am really sad about them moving away, but know that it is a blessing for Kelsey and DeAndre to now both work for the same church and live so close to it. I think I will finally have to conquer my fear of driving in Houston so we can still see them at least once a month!

Kelsey and I used to snap photos at every single playdate, but as our kids have gotten wigglier, the pictures were fewer. We've tried to take a few more pictures recently since we know our weekly playdates were about to end. Cade and Natalie exchanged some sweet photos and t-shirts at a "goodbye" playdate a few weeks ago, and have really been playing well together recently. They are truly each other's first friend!

We kept Natalie last month for a day so Kelsey and DeAndre could do some packing. We started off with an attempt at potato stamping in the living room.

Then we ventured outside for trampoline jumping. It was a little hard since it had recently snowed! The kids ended up "growing" about 6 inches with all of the snow stuck to their shoes!

SUCH a sweet little girl!

Figuring things out together at the sand table

Never too young to start helping Chance fix the fence!

A few weeks later, Cade introduced Natalie to his ZuZu pets

Fascinating!

3 little monkeys!
