Spring Break - Part One

We are having SUCH a great spring break! We are so thankful to both have jobs that allow us to have this break!

Oma and Opa visited on the first weekend of our break. We took them to Cade's favorite spot these days - feeding the ducks at Brother's Pond.

Yes, Cade is eating the ducks' bread. Guess he thought they'd had enough!

Throwing rocks is even more fun than throwing bread!

On Monday, Cade stayed with Nana and Papa instead of going to school. Chance and I got the less exciting parts of spring break out of the way that day - house cleaning and taxes - while Cade and Papa had a great time riding the lawnmower.

They also planted some tomatoes in the new garden.

Silly monkey!

On Tuesday, we went to a party at our friends Nicole and Shawn's house. We were celebrating the Slaughters' visit to College Station... first time we'd seen them in almost 5 years! Craig and Kim were some of the first friends we made after getting married, and Craig was Chance's first athletic director. They now live in West Texas and have a beautiful daughter named Lexi. We were so glad their visit gave us the chance to see lots of great friends that we'd lost touch with!

The kids had tons of fun jumping on the trampoline

Super jumps!

Cuties! There were actually 9 kids there, but of course it was impossible to get them all together.

The girls

The boys

We were so proud of Cade for being so social with the group, and he definitely wasn't ready to go home at bedtime!

More fun times to come the rest of the week!
