One More Thanksgiving

Now that we are decorating for Christmas, I figured I had better wrap up my Thanksgiving posts. Please refer to the previous post entitled "20 Weeks" for an excuse for all future blog tardiness :)

We celebrated Thanksgiving day with Chance's family. We had a wonderful time visiting, eating, playing, eating, watching football, eating... it goes on and on. One of the best things is seeing the 3 cousins play so well together even though we haven't seen them since summer.

Zoe is quite the little artist and crafter, so she and I had lots of fun working on a handprint project.

She is also probably the most excited one in the family that our baby is a girl! She spent some time hugging my belly and probably thinking of all of the fun things she will do with her baby girl cousin. I think Cade and Xavier seriously irritate her some of the time with all of their antics...

After lunch and dessert (someone was very thankful for both snickerdoodles and ice cream!)...

We headed outside for some playtime. The kids had a great time trying to catch butterflies in their nets.

Sometimes they caught other things!

The next day we went to the drive thru animal safari in Franklin. This is one of the best kept secrets of the Brazos Valley! It was really am amazing experience!

The kids were so excited to feed animals out of the back of Papa's truck.

But most of our time was spent looking at a close-up view of a camel's nose! The camels are VERY friendly (and apparently very hungry), so they stayed with our truck the entier time and very eagerly helped themselves to food.

The kids found it hilarious!!

Bob wasn't so amused.

There was such an interesting assortment of animals - camels, llamas, several kinds of deer, goats, rams, zebras, pigs, buffalo, and emu.

We could not have asked for a better day to be outside. Check out that beautiful blue sky!

After the drive thru, the kids had fun in the petting zoo. It is the biggest petting zoo I have ever seen, and the animals seem very happy and cared very little that we were there (especially when our cups of food ran out).

Thank you so much, Nana and Papa, for taking us on such a fun adventure!
