Marvelous March Madness

The month of March has already come and gone! After spring break, we got so busy with school and work. Chance was gone most weekends, but the Cougar powerlifting team did great, and took both boys and girls to the state meets! We are so proud of the Cougars.

Here are the kids on St. Patrick's Day... aren't we lucky?

Cade's school held a Mustang Rodeo on Chance's first Saturday without a powerlifting meet. It was a beautiful day outside and we enjoyed time with the Erskine family.

Yes, Cade's friend Garrett is crying in the sack race picture. Cade had just pushed him out of the way for the win :(

Cade's kindergarten class was in charge of the morning assembly the last week of March. I am so thankful that Annie and I were able to go watch Cade. One morning he led the school in the moment of silence and another morning he led the Texas Pledge. He did very well with both of them and it was fun to see him in action with his friends. And Annie clearly thought she was an elementary school student already; she wanted nothing more than to be with Brother and his friends.

More fun with Cade's school... the kindergartners took a field trip to the Hockley Oil Ranch! Unfortunately, neither Chance or I could attend, but our wonderful friend and neighbor Kristy took some pictures of Cade and his class. He looks so grown up standing by my car before we left!

Other March highlights:

Papa finished building Annie's chair. He has made one of these for each grandchild and writes a special message to them on the bottom.

Cade found bluebonnets on the walking trail in our neighborhood.

And Annie tried katsup for the first time!
