I turn into a science teacher once a summer, and I had great fun putting together some science experiments and crafts for the kids. Thanks so much to Kelsey for giving Cade a science experiment set for his birthday last year that gave me a great starting point for our science extravaganza!
First, we made sun catchers using glue and food coloring. These didn't turn out as beautifully as expected, but the kids enjoyed making them.
Our next experiment was called Bubble Eruption. It worked pretty well, especially once Chance got involved and increased the amounts of everything the recipe called for :)
And on our last night, the kids used colored salt to make designs on black paper. A little messy, but turned out well!
The kids also re-learned the fun of the truck they haven't played with in years at Nana and Papa's house! They spent a great afternoon taking turns driving, and the whole experience was well-documented by me and Zoe. What in the world did we do before phone cameras?
We closed out our visit with one more trip to the pool. Thanks for all of the fun, everybody, and we already can't wait until next summer!
