Weekend in New Braunfels

I make a photo book every 4 months that includes pictures and a little journaling about our family's life. As I looked through the book from January-April 2010 (when Cade was Annie's age), I realized that he and I traveled a lot more during Chance's powerlifting weekends than the kids and I do now! Either I'm more tired or Annie is just a handful...

But we decided to be brave and take on a weekend trip to New Braunfels while Chance spent his one weekend without a meet at a coaching clinic (over Valentine's weekend, I may add!) To kick off our trip on the best foot possible, I even picked the kids up from school so we could drive during Annie's afternoon nap. This plan was mildly successful.

Saturday morning we had a very fun trip to Landa Park to play on the playground and feed the ducks. The kids were both very brave climbers, and sliding with Oma and Opa was the biggest hit!

Hopefully my parents won't be tooooo mad that I put their sliding pictures on here! But look how happy the kids are with them :) I'm so thankful they have so many grandparents to play with!

We very quickly went through a loaf of bread for the ducks.

Then it was time to stop for bbq and delicious sweet tea at Granzin's.

Sweetness overload!
