What We Love Wednesday... on Thursday

Facebook always has little prompts for photos each day... Throwback Thursday, What We Love Wednesday, etc. I had every intention of doing this post yesterday, but, well... life.

The spring semester is in full swing and things are busy but good. Here's what keeps us going:

Powerlifting Saturdays mean lots of quality time for Mama and the kids! One afternoon we spent hours outside enjoying the beautiful weather. Cade and Annie ate their snack on top of the playset and Cade figured out that standing-swinging is pretty fun! Another afternoon got pretty warm and, well, you can see how the kids stayed cool on the trampoline!

Chance's school hosted a practice powerlifting meet for underclassmen from several schools and we got to attend for a little while. The girl powerlifters just adore Annie, and both kids were very happy to see Daddy in action! Chance works so hard to make sure all of his lifters are successful, and I really admire how dedicated he is to each one of them.

Of course, we loved Valentine's Day! The kids both had parties at their schools, so it was a very very very sweet day. I have to write about Annie's outfit a bit... Chance's cousin Matthew's wife Shannon gave us this tutu before Annie was born. At first, I was absolutely horrified at such a girly piece of clothing. I hung it in her closet with a plan to never get it out. Well, we happen to have a little girl that has a lot of character. So I thought this year that if the tutu still fit, she could wear it if she wanted. Getting Annie to wear a dress to church is quite a struggle, so I figured she would reject it right away. I WAS WRONG. She took one look and said "Annie wear this!" with big bright eyes and a very happy little voice. And all day, she WORE that tutu with much flair, jumping, and dancing. She even wanted to sleep in it! In keeping with the Valentine theme, Cade also wore something he loves... a Cougar shirt :)

I picked up Annie up early from school so we could go to Cade's party in his room. The kids got ice cream sundaes, which Cade thought was awesome. Annie was on a sugar crash from her party, so she spent part of her time laying down in the reading corner and the other part dumping out as many tubs as she could find in the classroom stations. It is a good thing Cade's teacher is patient and our friend from church!

To close with some silliness, here is a picture of Chance and I doing some partner yoga. A friend of mine challenged people to try this, and we had lots of laughs with it! Cade and Holly got in on the action too.
