We had an impromptu family lunch at the Chicken one Sunday after church. It was delicious, although quite a bit more expensive than we remember in college. But it was super fun to share this Aggie landmark with our kids.
We helped host a couples baby shower for our friends Lorinda and Dan, who are having a baby girl in July. In true PEAP competitive fashion, we had the Tiny Olympics, which included a diapering race and an (apple juice) chugging race. It was super fun!
The kids came to a Fish Camp meeting with me. They were "pretty good". And when all other quieting techniques failed, it was time to get out the Doritos.
It got warmer (in between massive thunderstorms), so we frequented the pool. Guess who likes going up high just like Cade?
Cade still LOVES running! He earned 10 toe tokens this year. Each one is awarded for running 10 laps (~0.2 mile per lap) each week in PE. The 9th toe token is called the Golden Shoe, and students with this achievement are honored at a morning assembly. We all got to go watch Cade receive his Golden Shoe t-shirt!
Sometimes the cuteness just cannot be contained!
It turns out that Cade's last week of school is just too much to add to the bottom of this post, so Marvelous May will have to be continued. But this should hold you over for a bit, Kathy :)
