Becoming Camp Locklear

At the end of June, we were starting to get really excited about the development of Camp Locklear! The counselors all got together for a work weekend, and we had them over to our house for hot dogs and games. They are some of the best college students I've ever been with, and they were all so appreciative and fun! The kids (and even Chance!) warmed up to them pretty quickly and we had a great afternoon. One of the counselors got a camera for her birthday and practiced using it in our backyard. I think she has a fantastic future as a photographer!

The next day, we met up with a Fish Camp photographer for camp photos at the George Bush Library pond. These kids sure like to take pictures... they had several photo shoots this summer and they are like professional models! I was quite honored to be photographed with them, and I was also ecstatic that they humored me with my request for my first jumping picture! This girl has got to learn how to jump higher!

They are also quite skilled with photoshop. Check out the Locklear monster!
