Shifting Down to Gear Up

As the last post said, the fall is a super busy season for our family. Knowing that there are many activities (and addition of 2nd grade homework) that demand our time, we had to close the door on a few activities to save our sanity. Annie absolutely loved Powersports this summer with Coach Dani, and while she would have enjoyed continuing this fall, there simply aren't enough days during the week to allow this. And after 2 years with Palmisano's ATA, Cade is taking a break from karate while he does flag football. He graduated to Purple Belt on his last day! It is incredibly hard (mostly impossible) for me to say "no" to anything, but new responsibilities (and the related stress) at work have made me find even more value in family time at home. We will not be rushing to commitments every night, and hopefully everyone will be happier and a little more relaxed!
