Our first festive stop was the Schlitterbahn Christmas store and play area. Cade was very excited about the idea of a giant snowman, but wasn't sure if he actually wanted to touch him.
Rudolph was playing on a big projection screen, so I had plenty of time to shop in the store!
The next morning we opened presents at my parents house. And when I say "we" opened presents, I really mean that Cade opened presents and we all watched. Whether the present was addressed to Cade or not, he enjoyed opening them. This kid sure eats up being the only grandkid on this side of the family!

Cade also had lots of fun running through the leaves in the backyard. When he (or maybe Oma and Opa) tired of that, they built a fire!
Saturday morning was very chilly but very pretty, so we ventured to Landa Park. Cade was quite the daredevil on the playground, where he had a great time climbing a rock and jumping off to Daddy.
Whee!

Saturday night we went to Great Oma's for presents and dessert after dinner. I think Cade was thinking "What are they going to make me do next?"
But he certainly cheered up once it was time for more gifts! He was Great Oma's little helper and passed out all of the gifts. My Opa used to always do this, and it is both cute and sad to have someone else do his job. We miss you, Opa.
What's in there, Great Oma?
Drawing on his new Aquadoodle mat. Mess free art! I love it!
Family
Our last stop in New Braunfels was a visit with my friend Jenny and her family. Her youngest son, Clark, is about 2 months old and it was great to meet him! Cade and Walker had a great time playing with instruments, balls, and blocks, so I actually got to visit with Jenny and Clark for a bit. We all had so much fun! Thanks for having us, Jenny!
Boys, boys, everywhere!
Christmas festivities continue tomorrow and Nana and Papa's house!

oh, Alyssa... I so enjoy catching up on Cade and the rest of the family through your blog! What great photos! I don't know if I'll get to see you and Chance over the holidays, but I hope you all have a blessed Christmas, safe travels, and great times with family and loved ones.
much love always,
Roz
p.s. I agree that Cade was the best singer in the Christmas program! :)
