As people arrived, they followed the pretty path (see above picture of the bridge - I love it!) down to the fish pond. We were surprised how many people told us that they have never fished with their kids and this introduced them to the activity. Yea for promoting outdoor activities! It was impossible to get pictures of everyone, but here are most of the families that attended:
I think the record catch of the day was a 3 inch long perch. Good thing it is catch and release!
Notice it is mostly dads holding the fish. The kids all fished for about 5 minutes each and then played with the worms. The picture of Cade fishing is staged... I had to show that he actually fished a little at his own party!
We had 2 semi-successful group pictures! There were actually 25 kids at the party, so apparently we missed a few.
After the fishing, we all headed to the pavilion for snacks, cookie cake, and singing happy birthday!
Then the kids played on the playground, did bubbles, and "caught" prizes at the play fish pond.
In case you're wondering, Annie did, in fact, attend the party. She was held by her grandmothers, great-grandmothers, and a cousin the whole time. There was no chance of the slightest bit of wind or cold reaching this cozy girl!
All good parties must come to an end. Cade helped pass out favors to his guests.
And sweet little Kelly DID. NOT. WANT. TO. LEAVE.
We had so much fun celebrating with our big guy! So many great things are ahead for this amazing son and brother.

What a fun, themed party! Cute favors and all the rest. The kids looked like they had a lot of fun. Great job, party planner/mom extraordinaire!
