Spring Break 2015 - To The Zoo!

This very non-spontaneous family made a last minute decision to go to the Waco Zoo on the Monday of spring break! We had the same idea as every other family with small children in Texas. According to the forecast, this was supposed to be the only sunny day all week, so we had to make the most of it!

Despite the zoo being more crowded than we've ever seen, we had a great time. Cade assumed the role of navigator (from the wagon that was supposed to be for Annie that he almost refused to get out of), and Annie was a trooper and walked almost the whole time. We love seeing the zoo through our kids eyes, and how much more they learn every year.

Here we go! It sure was sunny!

First stop was the tortoises

Then the playground. It is so cute to see how Annie will follow Cade anywhere, and so sweet to see him help her along. This only occurs on playgrounds, not at home! It is also precious to see Chance enjoying the playground!

Sliding with the sea lions!

Here are some of our favorite animals. Cade begged me to take a picture of the rhino's bottom and send it Vandi so Garrett could see it. I'm pretty sure the two boys are still cracking up about this over a week later and Vandi and I are still baffled.

Kiddos were a little tired by the time we made it to the mandatory photos on the donkey statues.

I'm so thankful we had this day together!
