Happy Easter!

Easter is always one of my favorite holidays... the joy of Jesus returning to Earth always reminds me just how amazing it is that he gave us all new life. This year it was especially significant as we celebrated an early Easter with my family one week after moving back into our house! We got together early because my Oma was having knee replacement surgery right after Easter and we all wanted to wish her well in person! Chance offered a wonderful prayer thanking God for homes and health, and then we had lunch and tortured the children with obligatory family photos.

Then, it was down to the serious business of hunting eggs!

We were also very serious about the confetti eggs.

Grandparents are much nicer to the youngest generation! I remember having to chase down my Opa to crack an egg on his head, and now they just bend down to make it easier for Annie!

Then we had lots of silliness in the front yard.

Our next Easter celebration was with Chance's family. We were so glad all the cousins could be together!

The next day, we all went to our church's Easter egg hunt.

Then, onto our house for lunch and more confetti eggs!

Our own Easter was made special with baskets, more egg hunting (our kids are professionals at this by now), and our church service.
