I left off with track camp, which entertained BOTH kids for most weekdays in June! Although Annie does not share Cade's deep love of running, she did have fun and enjoyed the relays and getting to hang out with the coaches.
The track meets were more difficult this year than in the past. Cade ran with an older age group, and there are some major differences between a young 9 year old and 10 year olds who are almost 11! But we were so proud of Cade's determination and hard work. It payed off... he still came home with quite a few ribbons! And the amazing Ms. George came to support him (and surprise him with his successful STARR test results)!
Cade competed in the long jump, shot put, 4x100 relay, and 100 meter.
Annie also did swim lessons in June and she did great! She learned how use both arms for her swim strokes and almost always remembered to use her arms and legs! Her instructors were fantastic and she loved getting to go down the slide at the end of each week.
Xavier was with us for a few days and he joined us for the running and swimming too! He and Cade also attended basketball camp, but we didn't get any pictures of them. We do have a lovely photo of Chance and me watching basketball camp with Annie on our 15th anniversary!
All those workouts definitely earn some Spoons! Ben is our favorite Spoons guy!
