Just in case my brother ever reads this blog, the above clip is for him :)
February 1 was our closing AND moving day! We quickly learned that we tried to pack waaaay too much into one day, but in less than 72 hours, everything we owned was in our new house and *most* of the services and repairs we needed were set up or in progress. I was not nearly as good at taking pictures of this moving day as I was our last one, so unfortunately there are no photos of the wonderful friends that helped us - Chance, Russell, Lorinda, Dan, and Ledric all carried more boxes and furniture faster than I thought was humanly possible. Our parents also helped with some moving and most importantly, fed us almost all weekend. We are so grateful to all of them!
Our day started with the biggest financial commitment we've ever made...
We look tired already! It was very interesting to notice that the title company has no shortage of kleenexes and chocolate. They were on every surface!
When we got home, it was time to get to work...
And by Sunday afternoon, this was our last load from the old house:
Yes, it took that long for me to agree that Jennie-O would move to yet another home with us :)
The weekend of the move we traveled back and forth between houses because neither Chance or I remembered to have the gas connected at our new home. Oops. So, we went to the old house to shower and warm up, because it was really, really cold that weekend.
The next week, we admitted our total laziness and hired a cleaning crew to do a make ready on the old house. They did a great job and it really sparkles! So, here we go...
