Things are looking a little pink!

The day after we moved into our new home (which will have to be another post, another day), we had a wonderful baby shower for Little Lady! Chance's mom and our friend Susan hosted a lovely lunch for friends and family, and it was so fun having everyone together to help us get ready for our little girl! Susan had everyone go around the table and share when and how they met me. It was so fun to hear stories from both sides of our family and my friends too. I am certainly one blessed woman, and Little Lady is already loved by all of them!

I have to admit that I got much more excited about all of the pink products than I thought I would! We were fortunate to get some essentials like the carseat, exersaucer, a wrap, and crib bedding, and plenty of precious clothes on top of that! The picture of me laughing is not the best photo ever taken of me, but my reaction when opening the pink tutu was priceless! I have not embraced the complete girly-ness yet, but that tutu was just too funny! When I brought it home, Cade thought it was ribbon and kept looking for the "real present" and Chance about passed out on the floor. We were also so thankful to receive a beautiful crossstitch quilt from White Hair Nana. She makes these for all of her great-grandchildren (Little Lady will be #6) and it is so special for her to share her talents with the babies.

While it was wonderful to see everyone at the shower, two friends were extra special guests. My friend Ellen (blond hair, holding onesies with me), just had her little girl Clara 8 days before the shower. I was so touched that she came and we can't wait for our daughters to be friends! My dear friend Kelly also came, and I am so excited that she has moved back to Texas from Nevada. We are looking forward to spending more time together!
