Eating: She has dropped her feedings to about 7-8 per day. We've had one lucky night of only one nighttime feeding, but usually she eats twice. It is OK, though, because she is pretty efficient and we get right back to sleep.
Sleeping: She will take a good 2-3 hour nap during the day IF Daddy is home to swaddle her. Mama is not a champion swaddler, so she only lasts about an hour if I'm the only one here. She gets a couple of catnaps in the late afternoon and is pretty good about sleeping while we're at Powersports or the pool! 8:00 is her bedtime and we have learned not to miss it.
Growing: At her two month appointment yesterday we learned that she weighs 12 pounds and is 22 1/2 inches long. Dr. Parr said she is perfectly average! She wears mostly 3-6 month clothes and it is very fun that she just got a whole new wardrobe when I got rid of the 0-3 month onesies.
Enjoying: Giving us smiles! She smiles and coos her way into our hearts all the time! She seems to really like singing and the sound of her name. Stretching out on a blanket is one of her favorite activities. Baths don't bring out the smiles, but they don't make her cry, either. She is also doing really well with tummy time, but it tires her out! We may have heard her first attempt at a laugh yesterday, or it might have just been a squeal. That is one thing that seems to be "girly" about her... I don't remember Cade ever having these high pitched squeals! She also crosses her little ankles while she lays down, which is pretty cute. She still loves her big brother very much!
Not enjoying: The car! We survived the trip to Galveston with me sitting in the backseat to entertain her, but trips around town are still unpleasant. She also does not enjoy being put down if she is the slightest bit sleepy... the only acceptable actions then are holding or swaddling.
A first this week: Getting in the water at the pool! We've tried it twice and she seemed to like it!
