My dad ends up wearing this colander on his head every summer. He is such a good sport!
The mosquitoes were really bad, so Annie spent most of her outside time on the screen porch. Oma was happy to hold her!
I love this picture that I took through the porch. It just looks like summer to me!
Chance brought the handy TRX with him, so he and I worked out in the backyard one morning. The exercises were fun, but I could barely move the next day!
I have such great memories of playing in my Oma and Opa's yard as a kid. I'm so glad Cade and Annie have/ will have as much fun in my parents' yard!
Cade actually likes Oma and Opa's house so much that it is hard to tear him away for other activities that we think would be fun. We "forced" the poor child to go to the Witte Museum in San Antonio. When we got there, we explored their beautiful grounds. The boys were being silly!
The next stop was the dinosaur exhibit.
The museum also has the HEB Discovery Treehouse, which is like a small children's museum. The most fun exhibit was about different types of energy.
One night, we went to Great Oma's house for dinner. Cade played with her popoids, which my brother and I played with at her house when we were kids. My family does not throw anything away, and times like this, I am glad! Cade and Annie enjoyed some snuggles with Daddy, and we celebrated 4 generations being together.
On our last day in New Braunfels, we went to a family reunion. It was good to see lots of aunts, uncles, and cousins. We especially enjoyed visiting with Aunt Gerry and Amanda! My Oma had both of her granddaughters and all 3 of her great-grandchildren with her. I think she was happy!
