Now, about the wedding! They planned it in less than 3 months because CJ's training date was unexpectedly changed after they were supposed to get married next March. It was a spectacular and personal wedding, made even more special with the knowledge that everything came together so nicely and so quickly.
The kids and I, along with Chance's mom, headed to Dallas on Friday for the rehearsal. We barely made it there thanks to Dallas traffic, but Cade learned everything he needed to about being a "sign holder" with Xavier. And Annie wore a cute new outfit :)
We skipped the rehearsal dinner and headed to Sheri and Bob's house where the boys enjoyed some pizza and actually cuddled in a chair to watch Curious George. They probably won't do this much longer, and it sure was cute.
The next morning we got to relax a little. Cade watched Xavier's soccer game while the girls stayed at the house and Zoe had fun feeding Annie her breakfast. Later, everyone got a turn at playing the piano.
And then it was time to go to the church! Chance met us there, after coaching his game on Friday, going home for a few hours of sleep, and getting to the church by 10:00 am for his big brother/ groomsman duties. We were all so happy to see him!
Lindsay was the most exquisite bride, and the kids and Sheri got to visit her while she was getting ready.
This was a time where we also realized that it truly "takes a village to raise a child". Even though Lindsay is technically Chance's half sister, his mom and "big dad" are still part of Lindsay's family and it was great to have them with us to help with their grandkids.
Weddings are lovely times for group photos too!
Their ceremony was unique, heartfelt, and very beautiful! Cade and Xavier led Lindsay down the aisle with a surprise for CJ - a sign that read, "Uncle CJ, here comes your bride!" The boys were great about keeping this a secret; it helps that both of them think Uncle CJ is the coolest.

A sweet moment during the ceremony (thanks to facebook for all of these great photos... I was in the lobby with Annie the entire time)

And back down the aisle Cade and Xavier came!

Onto the reception, where Cade danced up a storm after he got to put on his crocs, and Annie had a nice nap.
We wish CJ and Lindsay a lifetime of love and happiness!
