What is Annie up to these days?
Eating: She loves her food! We've tried carrots, butternut squash, pears, avocado (disaster), and bananas (HUGE disaster; in public) since the last update. Other than the aforementioned disasters, Annie loves her food and gets very excited when we put her in her high chair. I also experimented with making our own "puffs", which was quite time consuming but did give me a nice sense of accomplishment. Unfortunately, she is a little too young to successfully pick them up and they molded before I froze them. Annie still gets milk 7-8 times a day, but night feedings are getting shorter, so maybe, just maybe, we will eliminate one soon. She sat in a high chair at a restaurant at Cracker Barrel for the first time and really liked being part of the action. We also got to spend some time with Uncle Chris at this meal!

Eating solid food should start getting easier soon, because Annie now has TWO TEETH! They are both on the bottom and she is not afraid to use them.
Sleeping: About the only consistent aspect of her sleep is bedtime. This girl is ready to go to bed about 7:00, and will let you know if the magic window has passed. She needs 2 naps a day, but settles for one on the weekends if we are busy in the mornings. We are still working on longer stretches of sleep during both naps and nighttime, and fluctuate between making her cry it out and just holding her. We are all learning together!
Growing: Oh yes! Annie's 6 month doctor appointment also got postponed, so I don't have any weight and length updates. I guess she is close to 16 pounds. She wears 6 month clothes and we recently learned that she does NOT like for her feet to be covered. I put her in a one-piece sleeper one day when it was a little bit cold, and despite her cute smile in this picture, she mostly spent the whole morning trying to get to her toes. Her smile when I finally changed her outfit was priceless!
Enjoying: Sitting, tummy time, being near her people, Holly, Sarge, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, being outside, talking (loudly), rattling or crinkly toys, water bottles, baths.... Annie seems to be loving life in general! Daddy and Cade both still get the biggest smiles out of her. Sitting up has made a huge difference for her, and she is already working so hard on crawling! She gets up on all 4s easily, and likes to do baby plank. Her current movements include spinning in a circle, propelling herself backwards, and jumping her knees in towards her hands, followed by a face plant down to the floor, and repeated. Basically, she is doing every thing except crawling, but is thisclose to actually doing it. I'm not sure if Cade/our house/the pets are ready for this!
Cade likes to balance toys on her back when she is in plank.
And here's some cute pics from her 6 month photo shoot. Cade used these same alphabet tiles in his 6 month pictures, and I love the similarities between the two of them!
And, we're done here.
