Happy Halloween!

We hope everyone is having a spook-tacular night!

We had a lot of debate about Cade's costume this year. Originally, he wanted to be the Hulk, but we had a hard time making the costume. Then, he said he wanted to be Daddy. How cute is that? I think Chance was kind of touched. So, Cade dressed up as a Caldwell football coach. This was the easiest costume ever! I put "Coach Lock" on the back of one of his Hornet shirts, we got him a whistle (a favorite accessory for any two year old) and tried to convince him to wear a hat.

We had an early Halloween treat with the Pumpkin Fest at St. Luke's Methodist last weekend. The Johnsons are always so sweet to include us in their church festivities! Here we are getting ready to head out the door (aka football practice for Coach Lock).

Once we arrived, Cade ditched the whistle and hat, so he really just looked like a kid in shorts and a t-shirt. Oh well.

Cade and Natalie the kitty head off to explore the flowers!

Throwing hay at Daddy is just as fun as throwing hay at Natalie!

Snack break

Thank goodness we went to the Pumpkin Festival, because unfortunately, Cade missed out on trick-or-treating today because he got sick :( Our little guy has actually never gotten to go trick-or-treating... the past two years he has fallen asleep before dark, and this year he was awake, but definitely not feeling well enough to ask strangers for candy. So, we spent a lot of time watching movies today.

Cade perked up a little when he opened his Halloween treats from Mama and Daddy. He is also so proud that he can make the Hornet "stinger" with his fingers and loves to show it off.

A pizza picnic and Shrek were our substitute for trick-or-treating this year.

Better luck next year!
