Annie and I attended the Nutcracker Tea with our friends Crystal and Elliana. This was a girly-girl event, and we loved every minute of it! Annie continued her fascination with ballerinas after her summer of dance classes, but we all agreed that she was not ready to sit through an entire Nutcracker performance. The tea was the perfect compromise - it offered short segments of Nutcracker dances, a chance to meet the dancers, and lovely ladies' food. Annie was so well-behaved and it was precious to see her and Elliana all dressed up.
Cade and I got to attend an Aggie game when I was one of the guest coaches. I tried to be humble and calm the whole time, but it was SO EXCITING!! We got to attend a practice during the week (where the coaches used more than a few, uh, choice words to help the players remember not to get 5 yard penalties), and on game day we toured the weight room, pressbox, nutrition center, media center, and got to go on the field before the game. I am so thankful for this experience and even happier to take my favorite football fan with me.
While these events were super fun, everything is always better when Daddy is home!
