Happy New Year!

2016 drew near to a close at a our friends Lorinda and Dan's "Very Griswold New Year" party. I say it drew near to a close because we did keep the kids out past their bedtimes, but certainly didn't make it to midnight. It was super fun to hang out with work friends and catch up after not seeing each other for a few weeks!

2017 came nice and early the next day and we started the year healthfully by going on a walk/ bike ride!

We may have a new favorite January 1 tradition - Santa's Wonderland! This is the last day the park is open for the season and it was a perfect day to go. No crowds, cheerful employees, and plenty of Christmas spirit to go around. It was so calm that we actually just hung out in the rocking chairs waiting for the snowfall and Marshall Frost because nothing else was going on. But we were not bored... it was such a rare treat to just sit around! No matter what day you go, the hayride and lights are so special. I'm so glad our whole family got to go together!

The work and school routine started way too quick after these new year festivities and I have not taken a single picture since January 1. Something photo-worthy will hopefully happen soon!
